Engine Options and Performance
The Bronco comes with a four-cylinder, 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that gives 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed transmission is standard, and a 10-speed automatic is optional. You can also choose a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 that provides 315 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor uses a 3.0-liter V-6 that generates 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, and the engine can handle sharp drops, steep inclines, and unexpected obstacles.
With the Bronco Sport, you’ll get a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with automatic start and stop. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. A 2.0-liter EcoBoost motor that gives 250 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque is available as well.
Size and Dimensions
The 2024 Bronco is 189.4 inches long. With two doors, it’s 173.7 inches long. The Bronco comes with a hard or soft top. The hard top has 103.7 cubic feet of space for passengers and 77.6 cubic feet for cargo. The soft top comes with 108.2 cubic feet of passenger space and 83 cubic feet of cargo room. The two-door Bronco includes 99 cubic feet of passenger room and 52.3 cubic feet of cargo space. You can ride comfortably enjoying the spaciousness of the model.
At 172.7 inches, the Bronco Sport is a bit shorter. It can carry up to five people and 65.2 cubic feet of cargo.

4×4 Systems
The Bronco and Bronco Sport use a HOSS (High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension) passive damping system. They both have four-wheel drive as well.
Terrain Management Systems
Both vehicles also include terrain management systems with G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes. Sand/Snow, Mud/Ruts, Sport, Eco, Normal, Slippery, Rock Crawl, Baja, Tow-Haul, and Off-Road modes are available with the Bronco. The Bronco Sport has Normal, Sport, Slippery, Eco, and Sand modes. The Badlands trim includes Rock Crawl and Mud/Ruts modes as well. It’s important to consider your environment when choosing between the two.
Ground Clearance and Water Fording
The Bronco’s manual transmission has a first gear labeled “C” for crawling over rough trails. The two-door model offers 11.6 inches of ground clearance, and the four-door version has 11.5 inches. The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport’s ground clearance ranges from 7.8 to 8.8 inches. With both vehicles, a high air intake lets you cross many creeks and streams with ease.
