The platform works with Ford’s Universal EV Production System, which uses a streamlined three-piece assembly process and large aluminum castings to reduce the number of individual parts required. Together, the UEV platform and production system are designed to lower manufacturing costs and create a foundation for future affordable Ford EVs.
