Now in the fifth generation, the model saw big improvements in 2025. The newly redesigned SUV has more features than ever before, giving fans and new owners alike even more reasons to love it.

In 2025, the Ford Expedition is available in four different trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch. Each trim package has something different to offer, below we’ll go over upgrades, luxury and practical features that fit drivers’ needs.

What Are the Trim Levels for the 2025 Ford Expedition?

Let’s take a closer look at the 2025 Ford Expedition’s trim level options.

Active

New in 2025, the Active Trim level is designed to blend comfort and technology. With a starting MSRP of around $62,320, this trim level comes equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. It features Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, a suite of safety features that help make it a safer ride. It also comes equipped with Ford Digital Experience, with a 24-inch panoramic display and a 13.2-inch touchscreen to control navigation and entertainment. Standard exterior features include a black platform running board, black tailgate appliqué, and 18-inch Dark Alloy-painted aluminum wheels.

The Active is available as either a seven or eight-passenger cab, and in either standard or Max (extended length) versions. The Active is a great choice for those on a budget or for families.

Platinum

This trim package brings more high-end and luxury features to the Expedition. With a starting MSRP of around $76,425, the Platinum is available as a Max or standard version. It comes equipped with leather front seats, power-folding and reclining seats in the third row, and more. It comes standard with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, though a High-Output version is also available. For additional upgrades, you can add the Platinum Ultimate Package, which includes premium leather seats, 21-inch wheels, and other enhancements.

The Platinum is a great option for those looking for a truly luxurious ride.

Tremor

The Tremor is a trim package designed with off-roading in mind. For a starting MSRP of around $83,545, drivers get a variety of off-road features, like 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, an upgraded suspension, a front bash plate, and more. The trim level comes with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine and has distinct exterior styling, including a unique grille, LED lighting, and a unique wheel design. This trim level has replaced the Timberline trim package.

This trim package is ideal for off-road enthusiasts or those willing to splash out extra cash for a sporty, rugged look.

King Ranch

The King Ranch is the highest trim level available for the 2025 Ford Expedition. This extravagant trim package includes a variety of luxurious features, as well as a distinctly southwestern-inspired look. The King Ranch starts at around $84,655 MSRP, and comes with premium leather seating, a 22-inch B&O sound system, and 22-inch Sinister Bronze Wheels. A 3.5L V6 engine comes standard, as do Black Onyx-painted Power-deployable running boards.

Drivers who want luxury and performance will love this trim level.

Which Ford Expedition Trim Level Fit Your Needs?

With four unique trim levels to choose from, it’s important to consider your needs and lifestyles when deciding which is right for you.
